Why have a christian school?

Our mission is to partner with the home and church to nurture children into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. An education that focuses on developing the whole child is of great value today. This is why we will strive to provide a Christ-centered education, which will encourage students spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. We will also work to be a light in our community, through the Spirit, by providing a loving school environment known for harmony, peace, and safety.

 

what grades are offered?

We currently have 23 children attending our school, from grades Primary to Grade 12.

 

What curriculum, classes, and extracurriculars are offered?

We mainly use the Abeka Curriculum which promotes a high standard of academic achievement. We also offer adapted curriculum to meet each students individual learning needs. Physical Education classes are taught twice a week, along with Art and Music classes weekly.

As a small private school, our sports options are somewhat limited. If your student is interested in participating in track and field or table tennis, we currently have teams participating. If your student is more interested in team sports (volleyball, soccer, basketball), we have been able to enter into cooperative agreements with other local schools in the past - it may be possible.

 

What is the student to adult ratio?

The student to adult ratio is 7:1. Daily, we have both Elementary and Senior teachers present, along with one volunteer; this provides the necessary assistance for each student’s learning needs.

*Volunteers have been screened with a criminal record test and child abuse registry check.

 

WHo can attend margaree christian school?

Anyone is welcome to apply to have their child enrolled in our school. If there is interest, we will host an information session at the end of April for prospective students and parents regarding the upcoming school year.

 

what does it cost?

The cost to attend our school is a $250 registration and curriculum fee for each prospective child that is due by the end of May for the upcoming school year in September. There is also a monthly tuition fee for each student that attends our school starting at $175 for your first child. The cost decreases when registering more than one child. The second child’s monthly cost will be $125 and the third $100. This fee is paid at the start of each month for the 10 months of the school year.

*Example: One child will pay a $250 registration fee in May (for curriculum) and then $150 per month for the school year (September - June).
